Loughborough people invited to take part in the biggest climate march in UK history

13 November 2015

As politicians set off for the Paris climate talks, activists in Loughborough have organised a coach to the biggest climate march ever planned in the UK: The People’s March for Climate, Justice and Jobs, on Sunday 29 November in London.

The People’s Climate March is organised and supported by trade unions, environmental and justice NGOs and political parties and is one of hundreds of marches that will take place across the world to coincide with the meeting of world leaders in Paris. Local supporters are inviting Loughborough folk to join in the demands for a world with a just economy that works for people and planet, a world safe from the ravages of climate change; a world powered by clean energy, with sustainable jobs, clean air and water, and healthy communities.

The coach, which has been subsidised by Loughborough Green Party, will depart Fennel Street at 8am on the morning of the 29th November, and will pick up more supporters at St Margaret’s Bus Station, Leicester, at 8:30am. Book your seat on the coach here: https://loughborough-peoplesmarchclimatejusticejobs.eventbrite.co.uk Tickets £15 waged/ £10 unwaged. Given the limited capacity on the coach, people are strongly advised to book their seat well in advance.
