17 March 2021

The Loughborough Green Party would like to assert their strong opposition to the Policing bill which was voted on yesterday, 16th March 2021.

We believe aspects of this bill will effectively eliminate our democratic right to protest; a right enjoyed by everyone in our society.

Without protests, our societies would look significantly different. As a constituency with a female MP, we are very aware of the successful protests which have gained women the right to vote and take political office.
We urge everyone to have their voices heard.

Contact your MP and ask how they intend to protect your democratic right to protest. Vote on the 6th May.

As the Loughborough Green Party we object to this bill in the strongest possible way. A vote for the green party is a vote for upholding and strengthening our democracy.
